The days are busy busy. The Fight the Big Bull album release party was an extravagant success. You can watch a video and download some live tunes on our Myspace. You can also buy the Ep for 10$ postage paid or 8$ if you track us down at a show or come to my house.

The Great White Jenkins has a handful of dates coming up, all of which are very exciting including a Patchwork Collective event on April 11 featuring the Tony Malaby Tuba Trio.

I also produced a track on the upcoming Josh Small album. It includes the fantastic bass drum and tambourine playing of the singular Pinson Chanselle as well as clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, and trombone as played by Fight the Big Bull conspirators Jason Scott, Bob Miller, and Bryan Hooten respectively. The album hits this summer and it will be fantastic.

Style Weekly Review March 8, 2006

"Musically schizophrenic Matt White and his many projects."

Supersized is how Matt White prefers his music. Forget wispy voices and monotone melodies, when it comes to life’s soundtrack, this recent Virginia Commonwealth University grad says there’s nothing like listening large. His fans seem to agree. Sitting at the helm of Richmond’s budding mixed-music scene, White is the mastermind — and in many cases the writer and composer — behind four genre-busting ensembles that range from four players to a grandiose 30.
